William Lye began his career at the Office of the State Director of Prosecutions and maintains an interest in white-collar and international criminal law. He holds degrees in Science (Computer Science), Law, and Master’s in both Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship & Innovation. William is an Adjunct Professor at Monash University and Swinburne University and serves as Chairman of Foley’s List.
William Lye OAM KC has practised as a Barrister at the Victorian Bar since 1988 and is admitted to practise across all Australian jurisdictions. His practice spans commercial and corporate law, property, intellectual property, technology, engineering and construction, and computer and internet-related law. He is an Accredited Advanced Mediator and regularly acts in mediations, arbitrations, and expert determinations. He began his career at the Office of the State Director of Prosecutions and maintains an interest in white-collar and international criminal law.
He is also a foreign arbitrator with the Shanghai International Arbitration Center and the Arbitration Association of Brunei Darussalam. Currently, he serves as the Deputy National Chairman of the Order of Australia Association Limited.
